OK, so I hate writing, or whatever this is. Simple enough, I'm too distracted, and anythi...look, a butterfly!
SO I have several projects on multiple burners as usual: fix the bike, make the multi-barrelled laser death ray from old camping tent poles and an Electrolux vacuum cleaner (doncha just love that art deco stuff?), host a gathering of SteamPunks and attend the RenFaire...and that's just one day's attentions.
AAARRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm finding this blog a bit difficult; if I can't hit something with a hammer to fix it or get myself involved I get very confused.
I was hoping to tell Selkichick that I found a small spelling error on one of the 'luggage stickers' that she had designed...one of the towns should read 'Portsmouth', instead of whatever is there....'Porstmouth', or similar.
Apart from that, I like the stickers VERY much. I have printed a few out as B&W on paper for later application to the appropriate pieces of luggage, whenever I acquire them......Gods, I miss my old Gladstone bag! At least there's the steamer trunk.
Which brings something to mind:
Paperwork, or at least ephemera. I like to flesh out a character with more than a spiffy costume; indeed, having things like the luggage stickers is just part of being someone. I think of book plates (they identify who owns the book, etc.), photographs in stationary and travel frames, notebooks, and so on with small identifiers that make them 'ours'.
Perhaps even a vintage passport! With the appropriate stamps of entry for Timbuktu, China, Holy Roman Empire (yes, it's still around), etc.
Any thoughts on this? And any websites that show how/where to find or make them, print them out? I have been using bookplates in my nicer hardbound books for some years, and find them in appropriate Victorian styles in stationer's stores and occasional bookstores. I have been given a nicely made handbound book for notes (not that I ever use it), but still enjoy having it with me, 'just in case'. I tend to scribble notes on convenient scraps of paper, nothing worth keeping for posterity...so nothing goes in the notebook. :-)
I would appreciate all comments and suggestions.
Yours,
Sgt. Mustache
